TERMS OF USE

 

Use of the services of the Finnish Electronic Sports League Ltd (FEL) requires acceptance and compliance with the terms of use. The terms of use apply to the transactions of both non-logged-in and logged-in customers in both the online and mobile versions. The customer must read the terms of use carefully. Finnish law applies to the service, regardless of the country from which the service is used.

FEL owns the service and is responsible for its operation and development. FEL reserves the right to make changes to the service.

Copyright and trademark

Service content, including text, images, videos, audio files, music, product details, trademarks, brand names, and business identifiers are owned by FEL or a third party, which the law protects. FEL reserves all rights in the Service and its content, copyrights, and trademarks unless otherwise stated.

User rights and obligations

The content of the service may not be used for commercial purposes without the express permission of FEL. Bulletins published on the service may be used for journalistic purposes.

You may view, browse and store your user information for your personal use. Modifying or reproducing the content is not permitted.

Content produced by FEL

FEL is solely responsible for the content, copyright, and other intellectual property rights of the material it publishes. FEL is not responsible for content published by customers or partners.

Service

Service means a tournament management tool, discord server, game chat, or other similar tool used to manage or play in the tournament.

Content provided by the customer or service provider

FEL shall not be liable in any way for any material or other content, related copyrights, or other intellectual property rights submitted by the customer to the service, even if this service is accessed via a service provided by FEL via a link or otherwise.

Customer is responsible for the content submitted to the service or through it to other users and that the use of the service or the above-mentioned material violation of the rights protected by the third party, or is contrary to these Terms and Conditions, the law or good practice, and does not cause harm or disruption to the network, FEL, FEL’s contractual partners, other users or third parties. The customer agrees to indemnify FEL or any third party for any costs and damages that may result from using the Service in violation of this section.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that he has all the necessary rights and permissions for the material he publishes on the service.

The customer must have the consent of all persons appearing in the image or video to allow FEL and its partners to utilize and process the material commercially and otherwise as they see fit. The customer who submitted the image or video must be able to provide questionable consent upon request. The customer also warrants that it has not provided or will not provide material to any third party on an exclusive basis.

FEL reserves the right, in its sole discretion, not to publish material provided by the customer to the service and to remove material already published from the service, and remove access from the user to the service.

Contact with FEL

FEL mainly handles communication on important issues via e-mail. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide the correct email service. It is also the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the emails arrive and do not, for example, end up in the spam filter. Other issues may be handled through the tournament’s Discord server.

Third-party services

Third parties may provide access to their sites through the Service. FEL is not responsible for the operation, content or other features of any pages or services provided by such third parties. FEL shall not be liable for the functionality of any third-party applications and additional features installed by you, for any disruption or error caused by them, or for any other related or consequential damages.

Technical conditions for using the service

The customer must, at his own expense, acquire the equipment, software and telecommunication connections required for the use of the service, as well as other necessary services, and be responsible for their operating and maintenance costs, security and functionality.

FEL does not guarantee that the service can be used on the customer’s equipment.

If the equipment, programs or telecommunication connections used by the customer endanger the functionality or security of the service, FEL has the right to suspend the provision of the service to that customer.

If the service is used from a shared device, for example in an educational institution or library, the customer must ensure that the customer’s identification or other information is not stored in the memory of that computer.

Information provided during the registration

The customer must provide the information required for registration and notify the FEL customer register of any changes to the information. The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided for registration. FEL is not obligated to verify the information provided by the customer, and FEL is not liable for any damage or disruption caused to the customer or a third party by the incorrect information provided by the customer.

 

Code of conduct

All actions that jeopardize the integrity of competition are punishable even though they might not be listed below.

1.1 Competition Conduct

Offences and infringements of these Rules are punishable, whether or not they were committed intentionally. Admins of the tournament may issue the following penalties:

1.2 Collusion

The collusion of players in opposing teams is not allowed.

1.3 Competitive Integrity

Teams are expected to play at their best at all times within any tournament game.

1.4 Hacking

Hacking and any modification of the game clients by anyone is not allowed.

1.5 Exploiting

Exploiting any in-game bug is not allowed.

1.6 Profanity and insults

A player may not use language or gestures that are obscene, foul, vulgar, insulting, threatening, abusive, libelous, slanderous, defamatory, or otherwise offensive or objectionable; or promote or incite hatred or discriminatory conduct at any time.

1.7 Non-Compliance

No player may refuse to apply the instructions or decisions of the Administration Team.

1.8 Match-Fixing

players are not allowed to attempt to influence the outcome of a game or match by any means.

Right to Publish

The organizer has the right to broadcast the tournament and publishes content from it to social media. The organizer has the right to publish player names with their in-game nicknames.

 

Games

Attendance

Players must be on the game ready to start at the given time. If a player has not shown up by the deadline, the game must either be started or forfeited by the team.

Username and ID

The name and ID number of the players must be exactly the same as given in the registration form.

Team

The player must add teammates to the friend list prior to the tournament starts.

Reworking the teams

Admins have the right to modify and edit team compositions before and during the tournament.

The player is responsible for his or her hardware and connection.

Replay

Admin has the right to call replay of the map or game.

 

OVERWATCH RULES

Structure and Schedule

1.1 Format
Teams will play a best of 5 maps in the final and best of 3 maps in the semi-finals
1.1. Rotation
Each match will include the following game modes, in this order: Control / Escort / Assault / Hybrid / Control
2.2. Selection
2.2.1 Regular Matches
The left team or the team at the top of the bracket must pick the first map and host the
tournament lobby on the correct server. Semi-finals are played on the nearest server to the region and the finals on the US-server
The right team or the team at the bottom of the bracket (when viewing the match in the Lobby) can pick a side.
2.2.1.1 The losing team from each map will pick the subsequent map. The winning team from each
a map will pick which side they play of the subsequent map.
2.2.1.3 Maps are removed from the available pool after being played in the match.

3. Heroes
3.1 Available Hero Pool.
Only heroes that are enabled in the “Competitive Play” mode of Overwatch may be used.
3.2 Hero Bans.
In an extreme case of a bug existing within the current patch of Overwatch, the tournament administrator may enforce a hero ban for any duration of time.

4 Tournament Format.
4.1 Tournament is Single elimination

5. Game setup
5.1. Admin must be invited to every game of the tournament
5.2. Admin will set up the rules of the match

Deathmatch

Played on the deathmatch free-for-all mode in which 12 pre-registered players take part in a map decided my admins with the only objective being to eliminate each other. Every hero can be chosen with no hero limit applying. The player who reaches 20 points first or has the highest score when the 10-minute timer runs out will be awarded first place. 

Players can win deathmatch first prize only once.
